Vitoria-Gasteiz, 26 October 2026. Gako AI has been selected to take part in Araba Venture, the entrepreneurship event backed by the Provincial Council of Álava, the Basque Government and El Correo, which will be held on 10 November at the Palacio de Congresos Europa in Vitoria-Gasteiz. There the company will present Ekimen, its AI agent platform for industrial SMEs, and Ekimen Press, its dedicated line for news media.
For Gako AI, Araba Venture is an opportunity to introduce investors and entrepreneurs to a project that takes a different view from traditional process automation. As companies adopt AI without clear guidelines, a new market is emerging: bringing order and security to the way AI enters businesses.
Ekimen rests on three principles: data sovereignty, deterministic and auditable agents, and an architecture independent of the AI model in use, whether commercial or trained locally. The goal is for an industrial company to bring agents into its processes (quotes, technical documentation, product and price search) without giving up control of its information.
Made in Araba Day and Ekin Coffee
The selection follows two recent events in Álava's ecosystem. On 17 October, Gako AI took part in the startup exhibition at Made in Araba Day, the event with which the Provincial Council brings Álava's industry closer to the public in Plaza Nueva and Plaza de la Virgen Blanca, alongside companies such as Mercedes-Benz, Michelin, Aernnova and Talgo.
Two days later, on 19 October, Igor Laburu, founder of Gako AI, was one of the four speakers at the Ekin Coffee "Business services: an opportunity to start a company", organised by Álava Emprende at the Casco Viejo Municipal Business Centre. Together with StatAI Solutions, Nomad Legal and Koreinlab, he explained how Ekimen came about: many companies want to adopt AI but do so without a clear plan, and the project was created to give that adoption a useful structure, tailored to each case.

Gako AI is certified as an emerging company (startup) by ENISA, is supported by BIC Araba and the Álava Chamber of Commerce, and its Ekimen project won the Michelin Award for the best industrial initiative at Álava Emprende 2026.
